Modern technology, reliability, and outstanding performance are the cornerstone of the OneLapCamaro project. A Katech modified 427 cubic inch LS7, combined with a close ratio road race prepped T-56 six-speed provides awesome power and unmatched dependability for our Camaro project.
OPTIMA BATTERIES ULTIMATE STREET CAR INVITATIONAL presented by HOT ROD
On November 8th, 2008 Optima Batteries and Hot Rod Magazine invited over two dozen of the baddest street cars in North America to come to the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada to compete in the Inaugural OPTIMA BATTERIES ULTIMATE STREET CAR INVITATIONALpresented byHOT ROD MAGAZINE. The OneLapCamaro was honoured to receive an invitation to the event and, despite having fewer than 60 miles on the car, we participated in what we are sure will be considered the premier event of the year for 2008!
Most of the cars in attendance had attended the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada which ended the day before the Invitational. It was incredible to see all of these awesome cars quickly prove that they were built to be driven and that their owners were prepared to toss them around the Spring Mountain 2.2 mile Road Course as well as the challenging Autocross Course that was laid out specifically for the event.
Look for complete results and full coverage of the event in the March 2009 edition of Hot Rod Magazine on store shelves in January.
Until then, here are a few teaser pictures of the OneLapCamaro...
